US-India Cooperation Expands in Defence, Nuclear, AI

The United States and India are working together more closely in areas like defence, nuclear energy, and artificial intelligence.

A senior US official, S. Paul Kapur, talked about this at an event called the Hoover Institution.

He mentioned that this cooperation is helping both countries create jobs and make their supply chains stronger.

India has been buying a lot of defence equipment from the US, like helicopters and aircraft.

They also signed an agreement to work better together in areas like land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace.

In the nuclear energy sector, American companies are interested in helping India expand its nuclear power plants.

A new law in India, called SHANTI, has made it easier for private companies to get involved in this area.

Both countries are also working on using trusted AI and other new technologies to boost their economies.
