Mahabubabad Police Flag Off 2K Run for Drug-Free Society
More than 1,000 students and young people joined a 2K run against drugs.
The event was held at Guduru mandal centre in Mahabubabad district.
Dr. Shabarish, the district police superintendent, started the run.
He told students that drugs can hurt their bodies and minds.
He also said drugs can cause serious problems later in life.
Police showed students a kit used to test suspected ganja.
Shopkeepers were warned not to sell tobacco products to children.
People were asked to report drug activity, and informants may receive up to ₹5,000 while remaining confidential.
More than 1,000 students and young people joined a 2K anti-drug run at Guduru mandal centre on Saturday.
District Superintendent of Police Dr. Shabarish flagged off the event organised by the Mahabubabad district police.
Dr. Shabarish warned that narcotics and ganja can harm health and damage young people’s future prospects.
Police demonstrated a ganja testing kit and warned that drug-related offences can lead to strict action under the NDPS Act.
Citizens were urged to report drug-related information through the Anti-Drug Helpline, with rewards of up to ₹5,000 for informants.
