Manjalpur Bypoll: 37.5% Turnout, Counting on Aug 3
A special election was held in a part of Gujarat called Manjalpur because the long‑time representative, Yogesh Patel, passed away.
Two main parties, the BJP and the Congress, sent candidates: Satish Govindbhai Patel for the BJP and Bhikhabhai Rabari for the Congress.
Only about 37.5% of the people who could vote actually went to the polls, which is low compared to the 60% turnout in the last election.

219,494 voters were eligible, with 260 polling stations across 62 locations and various voter‑friendly measures implemented.
Vote counting is scheduled for August 3, and the constituency had a 60.15% turnout in the 2022 assembly election.
