Dhoolpet Falls Quiet After Ganesh Idol Sales Surge

Dhoolpet is an area where many artists make and sell Ganesh idols.

For 15 days, the streets were very busy because groups came to buy idols.

The idols ranged from one foot to 21 feet tall.

People used vans and small vehicles to carry them carefully.

Some buyers came from places outside Hyderabad.

This year, idols wearing turbans were especially popular.

After the sales ended, the streets became much quieter.

Artists also sold idols from temporary sheds in several other parts of the city.
