Andhra Pradesh Government Pledges Cultural Renaissance, Honors Boi Bhimanna

The Andhra Pradesh government said it wants to make the state’s cultural life stronger.

Minister Kandula Durgesh made the announcement at an event honoring poet Boi Bhimanna.

The event was held in Vijayawada on Bhimanna’s birth anniversary.

Durgesh said young people should learn about important writers and poets.

Writer Bhusurapalli Venkateswarlu received an award named after Bhimanna.

The prize included ₹2 lakh and other honors.

The government may discuss moving a Bhimanna cultural center from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh.

It also plans to give identity cards to eligible artists.
