VTDS, Czech firm DEUS Automation sign technology pact

A company in India that makes defence products has teamed up with a company in the Czech Republic.

The Indian company is called VTDS, and the Czech company is called DEUS Automation.

They agreed to work together on making small-calibre ammunition, which is the name for bullets and similar small weapons.

This kind of agreement is called a technology partnership.

The Czech company will share advanced machines and know-how with the Indian company.

That will help India produce world-class ammunition right at home.

It is one of the first big technology-sharing deals in this field between the two countries.

VTDS has a licence from India's Home Affairs Ministry to make and test small arms and ammunition.

The founder of VTDS, Sahil Luthra, said the partnership brings cutting-edge defence technology to India.

The two countries hope this will strengthen their long-term defence manufacturing friendship.
