SV University Launches Three-Day Workshop on Research Ethics

A university in India called Sri Venkateswara University started a special three-day class, or workshop, about research ethics and plagiarism tools.

Research is when people study a topic carefully to learn new things.

Ethics means doing the right thing while doing research.

Plagiarism is when someone copies another person's work and pretends it is their own.

The head of the university, called the Vice-Chancellor, said researchers should be honest and work with integrity.

He also said that artificial intelligence, or AI, should only be a helper and not do the thinking for people.

The workshop teaches students how to do original research and avoid copying.

It also shows them computer tools that can check whether writing has been copied.

Students and experts from different parts of the country joined the workshop.
