Avaada Electro leads SEBI-approved IPO pipeline worth Rs 50,000 crore
Many big companies in India want to sell small pieces of themselves to people so they can get money to grow.
This is called an IPO.
A special office called SEBI checks each company first and gives it a green light.
Right now, more than ten companies have this green light and are waiting.
All of them together hope to raise more than fifty thousand crore rupees.
The biggest one is Avaada Electro, which makes electricity and wants to raise nine thousand crore rupees.
Some companies like the hotel company Oravel Stays and the shopping app Zepto are also waiting.
Zepto got its green light but decided to wait a little longer.
The companies will start selling their pieces when they think the market is ready.
There are companies from many different businesses, like banking, hospitals, chemicals, farming, and glass.
Avaada Electro heads the IPO pipeline with a proposed Rs 9,000 crore public issue, the largest with a valid SEBI approval.
Oravel Stays is preparing a Rs 6,650 crore IPO, followed by Zepto's Rs 5,106 crore offering awaiting launch.
Credila Financial Services and Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India each plan Rs 5,000 crore IPOs among the largest awaited issues.
Zepto has kept its IPO plans on hold and has not come out with any fresh indicative timeline.
Beyond the top 10, Torrent Gas (Rs 3,825 crore), Continuum Green Energy (Rs 3,650 crore) and Hero FinCorp (Rs 3,600 crore) also await launch.
