Telangana Rainfall Deficit Narrows to 10% After Widespread Showers

In Telangana, a state in India, farmers had been worried because the land had not gotten enough rain for a long time.

The government said that the lack of rain, called a "deficit," had gone down from 33% to just 10%.

But some districts still had very little rain, especially one called Yadadri‑Bhuvanagiri, which was only 35% of what it usually gets.

The heavy rain that finally came caused flooding and made traffic in the city of Hyderabad very slow.

The weather office warned that some places might get a lot of rain, so people should be careful.
