Karnataka CM inaugurates QUANTUM exhibition, seeks US collaboration
The leader of Karnataka, a big state in India, opened a special science show called QUANTUM in the city of Bengaluru.
The American ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, was there too.
Quantum science is a new kind of technology that could change computing, communication, healthcare and manufacturing.
The leader said Bengaluru is a very important partner city for American technology and innovation.
He asked the United States to open a full consulate in Bengaluru so the two sides can work together more easily.
Karnataka is building India's first Quantum City at Hesaraghatta, a place full of research laboratories.
The state has also opened a new centre for quantum AI and computing in Dharwad.
Karnataka wants to partner with American universities and technology hubs like Silicon Valley to help young people learn new skills.
The goal is to connect classrooms to laboratories, laboratories to startups, and startups to global markets.
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar inaugurated the QUANTUM exhibition at Science Gallery Bengaluru on Friday, in the presence of US Ambassador Sergio Gor.
Shivakumar called Bengaluru an expanding hub of the India-US technology and innovation partnership and appealed for a full-fledged American consulate in the city.
