Indian National Car Racing Championship Sets Season Schedule
India’s national car racing championship has been introduced ahead of its new season.
The championship is organized by Chennai Turbo Riders and JK Tyre with support from the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India.
The first race will happen in Coimbatore on September 11.
More races will be held in Coimbatore and Bengaluru.
The final event will take place at Madras International Circuit in December.
Drivers will compete in several racing categories.
The championship has been running for nearly three decades.
Organizers say it helps find and train future racing champions.
Government representatives, motorsport officials and racing teams attended the launch event.
The CTR-JK Tyre FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship was unveiled in Chennai ahead of the new season.
Round 1 will begin at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on September 11.
Coimbatore will host Round 3 from October 23 to 25, followed by Round 4 in Bengaluru from November 13 to 15.
The season-ending Grand Finale will take place at Madras International Circuit from December 11 to 13.
The championship aims to support Indian circuit racing, develop drivers and strengthen the country’s motorsport ecosystem.
