Two Express Trains Merged, Coaches Doubled to Boost Chitrakoot Connectivity
Trains are like very long buses that travel on metal tracks.
Indian Railways is the organisation that runs the trains in India.
Two trains used to travel from a big city called Kanpur to two different towns.
Many people wanted to travel directly between those towns, but they had to change trains.
Indian Railways decided to join the two trains together into one bigger train.
The new train has 24 coaches instead of 12, so twice as many people can ride it.
It will now travel directly between Pratapgarh and Chitrakoot.
Chitrakoot is an important town that many pilgrims and tourists like to visit.
People will no longer have to stop and change trains in Kanpur.
The train will also stop at places like Lucknow, Rae Bareli, and Banda.
Indian Railways merged two Express train services to strengthen rail connectivity to Chitrakoot.
Trains 14109/14110 Chitrakutdham Karwi-Kanpur Central Express and 14123/14124 Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh-Kanpur Central Express will operate as 14123/14124 Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh-Chitrakutdham Karwi Express.
The merged service's coach composition will increase from 12 to 24 coaches, doubling passenger capacity.
Passengers travelling between Chitrakoot and the Pratapgarh-Lucknow region will no longer need to change trains at Kanpur Central.
The service will connect Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Kanpur, Banda and Chitrakoot, strengthening links between the Awadh and Bundelkhand regions.
