Man beaten to death by son in Keralam, accused held

A very sad thing happened in a place called Kozhikode in India.

A 64-year-old man named Makkiniyatt Sasidharan was hurt very badly by his own son.

The son's name is Abhiram.

The son came home very late at night, around 12:30 in the morning, after taking something that made him act strangely.

The father was hurt on his head and neck.

His family and neighbors tried to rush him to the hospital.

But sadly, he died before they could get him there.

The police came and arrested the son.

The police say the son had problems with drugs and alcohol and had even been to a special center to get help before.

Now a court has decided the son must stay in jail while the case continues.
