Lucknow Students Block Road Over Teacher Shortage, Classes Hit

Some students in a city called Lucknow were upset because their school did not have enough teachers.

Without enough teachers, their classes were not happening properly and their studies were being affected.

So the students decided to do something to get people's attention.

They stood on a busy road and blocked the traffic so cars could not pass.

Blocking a road like this is called a road blockade.

Many cars got stuck and the area became crowded.

The police came quickly to help and managed to clear the road in about 15 minutes.

But even after the road was reopened, the students did not stop.

They kept protesting so that their school would get more teachers.

They want people in charge to fix the teacher shortage so they can learn properly again.
