Amazon Will Train On Twitch Streamers’ Content By Default Unless They Opt Out · timesnownews.com

Twitch is a website where people stream videos of themselves playing games and chatting.

A big company called Amazon is using the content that Twitch streamers make to teach computer programs.

Teaching a computer program from lots of examples is called training a generative AI model.

By default, Amazon will train on streamers' content unless the streamer says no.

Streamers who do not want their content used can choose to opt out, which means to say no.

To opt out, they open their channel settings instead of the creator dashboard.

They then go to the security and privacy tab and scroll down to the setting called 'training for generative AI' and turn it off.

Mary Kish, who works for Twitch, said the opt-out option was added because the community said it did not want its content used to train AI.

This gives streamers a choice about whether their content is used.
