Hyderabad Ganesha Immersions Proceed Peacefully, Police Chief Says

Hyderabad held its Ganesha idol immersion process peacefully.

Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said no serious incidents were reported from September 14 to 25.

The police expected the process to finish by Saturday morning.

Some idols were moved from Malkajgiri to Tank Bund because Kapra Lake did not have enough water.

Extra cranes were placed at Tank Bund to help with the immersions.

The Khairatabad Bada Ganesh immersion received special arrangements.

Police watched the procession with 12 drone cameras and CCTV cameras.

Officials were also told to quickly respond to complaints made through the 112 phone number.
