Avalanche on Broad Peak Leaves 10 Climbers Missing, 4 Bodies Recovered
A big snow slide happened on a very tall mountain called Broad Peak in Pakistan.
Ten people were climbing there, led by a famous Nepali climber named Nirmal Purja.
The slide took them all away and they have not been heard from since.
Four of the people were found dead, but the other six are still missing.
Rescue teams from the Pakistani army are using helicopters to look for them, but bad weather makes it hard.
The people who organized the climb are working with the government to try to find the missing climbers as fast as possible.
An avalanche on Broad Peak on Thursday swept away a 10‑member climbing team, including Nepalese mountaineer Nirmal Purja, leaving them missing.
Four bodies have been recovered, with two identified as Omani climber Nadhira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthy and Nepalese climber Pur Bahadur Gurung; the other two remain unconfirmed.
GPS data shows the group was displaced about 1,000 m downhill, and rescue helicopters are operating under difficult weather conditions.
The expedition included climbers from Nepal, Pakistan, Oman, the United States and China; six of the missing climbers are Nepali nationals.
Rescue efforts involve Pakistan Army Aviation helicopters, coordination with government authorities, and international support from Nepal and China.
