Gujarat Police Seize Rs 22 Lakh Liquor in Three Raids
Gujarat Police carried out three raids to find liquor that was allegedly being stored or transported illegally.
The raids happened in the districts of Valsad, Amreli and Aravalli.
Police said they seized more than 8,000 bottles of liquor and beer in total.
The liquor itself was valued at more than Rs 22 lakh.
Vehicles, mobile phones, cash and other materials were also seized.
Eleven people were arrested.
Sixteen other people were listed as wanted suspects.
Police registered cases under Gujarat’s Prohibition Act.
The report says some suspects were allegedly involved in transporting, supplying or possessing the liquor.
The Gujarat Police State Monitoring Cell seized liquor valued at over Rs 22 lakh across three raids in Amreli, Aravalli and Valsad.
Police arrested 11 people and named 16 others as wanted accused in cases registered under the Gujarat Prohibition Act.
The Valsad raid resulted in eight arrests and the seizure of 1,514 liquor and beer bottles.
The Amreli operation recovered 3,013 bottles, while the Aravalli raid recovered 3,870 bottles.
The total value of all seized material, including vehicles, phones, cash and other items, exceeded Rs 43 lakh.
