The project will transmit up to 4,500 MW of renewable and storage power from Karnataka to major load centres in Maharashtra.
It will support pumped-storage development across Satara, Pune and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
The project includes 562 circuit kilometres of lines, 9,000 MVA of transformation capacity, a Satara substation and upgrades to the Kolhapur pooling station.
Scheduled for completion within 36 months, the project will expand AESL’s network to 29,739 circuit kilometres and 1,43,425 MVA of transformation capacity.
