Jaipur Police Bust Fake Call Centre in Crore-Plus Online Fraud
Some people in Jaipur set up a fake call centre in a rented flat.
They called people and tricked them into giving money by pretending to offer online gaming and investment opportunities.
The police found out about the scheme and arrested five men.
The men were named Ramesh Kumar, Naina Ram, Krishna Kumar, Pappu Ram and Praveen Kumar.
They come from the Barmer, Balotra and Jodhpur districts.
A team from Shiprapath police station and the Jaipur South Cyber Cell carried out the arrests.
The arrests happened as part of a campaign called 'Cyber Shield'.
The campaign runs from July 20 to August 20.
Its goal is to fight online scams and teach people about cyber crimes.
Police say the fraud involved more than one crore rupees.

The accused were identified as Ramesh Kumar (25), Naina Ram (35), Krishna Kumar (24), Pappu Ram (25) and Praveen Kumar (21).
All five accused, residents of Barmer, Balotra and Jodhpur districts, were sharing the flat.
The bust was part of the Rajasthan Police Cyber Crime wing's month-long 'Cyber Shield' campaign running from July 20 to August 20.
