The Anti-Corruption Bureau accused police officer Divya Mittal of asking for money during a drug investigation.

The alleged amount was Rs 2 crore, although a smaller payment was reportedly discussed first.

The ACB recorded conversations and arrested her in January 2023.

She was later granted bail by the High Court.

The ACB then filed a very large chargesheet against her.

However, permission to prosecute her was rejected because the evidence was reportedly not considered strong enough.

The bribery case has now been closed.

The reasons for the closure and any remaining proceedings are still the focus of attention.
