Delhi Court Slams Police Report in MCOCA Case
A Delhi court reviewed a case involving a strict law used against organised crime.
The case started with a police report in 2020.
The court said the police report was not good enough.
It noted that Mukesh had been named in many other cases, including cases involving murder.
The court said he was named in more cases from 2021 to 2024.
He was arrested in February 2026.
The judge said earlier investigating officers had not tried to arrest him.
The judge sent the order to the police commissioner and asked for an inquiry into the officers’ work.
A Delhi court called a police report in an organised-crime case “absolutely perfunctory and mere eyewash.”
The case began with a September 2020 FIR invoking the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act against Mukesh and Pardeep.
The court said Mukesh faced around 20 earlier FIRs, including cases involving murder and attempted murder.
According to the court, Mukesh was named in eight more FIRs between 2021 and 2024, but was arrested on February 9, 2026.
