Dhirubhai Ambani International School won a football tournament for girls under age 14.

The tournament took place in Navi Mumbai from September 27 to October 1.

Eighteen school teams from seven cities in India competed.

B.D. Somani International School came second, and Hill Spring International School came third.

Aavika Arora was chosen as the best player.

Ira Bakshi was the best goalkeeper, and Sara Gandhi scored the most goals with 12.

Former badminton champion Aparna Popat told the players that sport teaches teamwork, discipline and resilience.

The event also helped young girls meet, compete and build confidence through football.
