ISSO Under-14 Girls Football Tournament Begins in Mumbai
A national football tournament for girls under 14 began in Navi Mumbai.
Schools from different parts of India are taking part.
Eleven matches were played on the first day.
Dhirubhai Ambani International School won one match 3–0.
Hill Spring International School won another match 10–0.
Some games were close, including a 1–1 draw between Oberoi International School and Don Bosco International School.
An opening ceremony celebrated teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.
Abhimanyu Basu and Aparna Popat attended the ceremony.
More matches will be played as the young players continue competing.
The ISSO Under-14 Girls National Football Tournament began on September 28, 2026, at Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai.
Eleven matches were played across two football grounds on the opening day.
Dhirubhai Ambani International School defeated Fazlani International School 3–0, while Hill Spring International School recorded a 10–0 win.
An opening ceremony featured Abhimanyu Basu as chief guest and former international badminton player Aparna Popat as guest of honour.
The tournament gives schoolgirls from across India a national platform to compete, gain experience and develop their interest in football.
