DAIS and NMAJS Host National School Sports Championships
DAIS and NMAJS are hosting a very large school sports event in India.
Students will compete in football, judo and taekwondo.
More than 1,000 athletes from 145 schools are expected to participate.
The event will run from 18 September to 1 October 2026.
Football will be played at Reliance Corporate Park in Ghansoli, while judo and taekwondo will be held at the schools.
Athletes will compete in different age groups.
Some students may be selected for bigger national and international competitions.
Olympian judoka Avtar Singh attended the opening ceremony.
DAIS and NMAJS are hosting ISSO Football, Judo and Taekwondo Championships from 18 September to 1 October 2026.
The event brings together more than 1,000 student-athletes from 145 international schools across 31 Indian cities.
Judo and Taekwondo will be held at the schools, while Football will take place at Reliance Corporate Park in Ghansoli.
The competitions include 16 schools in Under-14 girls’ football, 210 judo participants and 590 taekwondo athletes.
The championships can lead to selection for School Games Federation of India and International School Sport Federation competitions.
