ZPM won't support FCRA amendment bill if Mizoram concerns unaddressed
In the Indian state of Mizoram, a political party called the ZPM is in charge of the government.
The ZPM is worried about a change to a law called the FCRA, which has to do with money coming from outside India.
The party thinks the proposed change does not protect Mizoram's interests.
So the ZPM says it will vote 'no' on the new law in India's Parliament unless its concerns are fixed.
The party's leaders talked about this at Chief Minister Lalduhoma's home on August 5.
After the meeting, they said their two lawmakers would not support the bill if it stays the same.
Mizoram has two seats in Parliament, and the ZPM controls both of them.
The ZPM is not part of the big national alliances like the NDA or the INDIA bloc.
Earlier, in June, Lalduhoma said the party had no plans to join the NDA alliance.
So the ZPM will stand on its own and stick to its decision.

The ZPM holds both of Mizoram's parliamentary seats — one Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha.
The ZPM is neither part of the BJP-led NDA nor the Congress-led INDIA bloc; Lalduhoma had ruled out a formal NDA alliance in June.
