Opposition leaders vow to resist FCRA Bill during Monsoon Session

In India, a special group of leaders called parliament makes the laws for the country.

It meets for a few months each year in something called a session.

Right now, the government wanted to talk about changing a rule called the FCRA, which is about money that groups can receive from other countries.

Many groups, called NGOs, use this money to help people in need.

Some leaders, like Saugata Roy, Dimple Yadav, and K.C. Venugopal, said they do not want this rule to change.

They think the new rule could scare people and hurt the groups that help others.

One leader said the rule is part of a bad plan by the BJP party.

Another said the rule is a way to take property from NGOs.

The Congress party also said it will not talk about the rule until the Home Minister, Amit Shah, explains what happened to students who were hurt in Delhi.

There are only four days left in the session, so it is not clear whether the rule will pass.
