Kalyan-Badlapur Rail Corridor Set for Two Additional Lines
Kalyan and Badlapur will get two new railway lines.
These will be called the third and fourth lines.

It will also build bridges, road crossings, and improvements at five stations.

That work is expected to take 365 days.

The existing two lines carry suburban, Mail/Express, and goods trains, with 136 trains operating against a capacity of 120.
Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation has invited bids for ₹133.18 crore in balance work, scheduled for completion within 365 days.
The project is funded equally by the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Maharashtra under MUTP-IIIA.
