Bengal BJP Government Marks 100 Days, Sets Six Goals

West Bengal’s BJP-led government has completed 100 days in office.

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said it is too soon to judge the government’s full performance.

He said the government first needs to repair problems he believes were left by the previous administration.

Three committees will study factory closures and alleged wrongdoing by the earlier government.

Adhikari said the state should become more self-reliant.

His six-goal plan includes national security, welfare, jobs and attracting industries.

He also criticized the Trinamool Congress for what he called appeasement politics.

He said there should be no support for anti-national slogans or the groups he described as intellectual Naxals.
