Kharagpur-Amaravati Highway Approved, Naidu Thanks Modi and Gadkari
A new highway connecting Kharagpur and Amaravati has been approved.
It will be 1,107 kilometres long.
Part of the highway will pass through Andhra Pradesh.
That section will have four lanes and cost about Rs 32,000 crore.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister Nitin Gadkari.
He said the road will connect Andhra Pradesh more closely with eastern India.
He also said it could make it cheaper to move goods.
