Ashith Surya and Amrutha Pramuthesh lost to Turkey’s Emre Sonmez and Yasemen Bektas after reportedly missing nine match points.
Kenta Nishimoto upset fifth seed Christo Popov, while Nozomi Okuhara, Chen Yufei and Jonatan Christie also advanced.
