Indian Airports See 300% Rise in Passenger Fees

Airports in India have made it much more expensive for people to travel.

The fees that passengers pay when they leave the airport, called User Development Fees, have gone up a lot.

In the last four years, the average fee for domestic flights has doubled, and the fee for international flights has almost quadrupled.

Some airports, like Ahmedabad, saw the biggest jump, with the fee going up more than 13 times.

The government says the money is needed to build and run the airports better, but some people think the hikes are too high.
