There are now 52,718 public charging stations, with over 16,500 of them being fast chargers.

The government has given a lot of money to make this happen, like Rs 912.50 crore under the FAME-II scheme and Rs 2,000 crore under the PM E-DRIVE scheme.

They also made rules to make it easier for private companies to build these charging stations.

The government is also helping to make electric buses and cars by giving money to companies that make them.

They have already planned to put 13,800 electric buses in big cities like Delhi and Mumbai.
