Amit Metaliks' ₹4,000-crore steel project in Purulia promises 5,000 jobs

A big steel-making factory is coming to a place called Purulia in West Bengal, India.

The leader of the state, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, helped start the project by laying the first stone.

The factory is being built by a company called Amit Metaliks.

It will cost about ₹4,000 crore, which is a huge amount of money.

The factory will be built on 151 acres of land, which is as big as many football fields.

When it is finished, it will be able to make 1.2 million tonnes of steel every year.

This will create more than 5,000 jobs for people, especially young people in the area.

The factory is expected to start working by 2029.

The government says it wants to help industries grow so that more people can find work.

This is one of the first big projects started by the new government in its first 100 days.
