Yogi govt's IAS, IPS, IFS officers to guide students monthly
The government of Uttar Pradesh, a big state in India, wants to help high school students plan for their future.
So it started a new programme where clever young government workers will visit schools.
These workers are from the IAS, IPS and IFS, which are important government services in India.
They will visit at least one school every month and talk to the students.
Students can ask them questions about jobs, careers and big exams like UPSC and JEE.
The officers will share their own experiences and how they worked hard to get their jobs.
Students will also learn how to study better, manage time and build confidence.
They will hear about colleges, starting businesses and government help schemes.
Every district has to send a report about the visits by the 5th of each month.
This helps the government check that the programme is working well.
The Uttar Pradesh government will deploy young IAS, IPS and IFS officers to visit at least one government intermediate-level school every month and interact with students.
Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma has directed the School Education DG to ensure effective monitoring, with Divisional Commissioners reviewing the programme periodically.
Sessions will cover competitive examinations including UPSC, UPPSC, UPSSSC, UPESSC, ASC, NDA, JEE, NEET and CUET, along with study methods, time management and self-discipline.
The programme will also inform students about higher, technical and vocational education, entrepreneurship, start-ups, and major Central and State youth schemes.
District magistrates will prepare a monthly calendar of interactions and submit a brief report to the Secondary Education Department by the 5th of every month.
