UPPSC Announces Assistant Professor Prelims Result 2026
The state of Uttar Pradesh wants to hire teachers called Assistant Professors for its government colleges.
To choose the best people, it holds a special test with rounds.
The first round, called the preliminary exam, happened on May 31, 2026.
A group called UPPSC, which runs these exams, has now announced who did well in the first round.
The people who passed can now take the second round, called the Main examination.
The results were announced for eight subjects, like Hindi, Math, Science and Commerce.
Very many people took the test — more than 16,000 people signed up for Hindi alone.

UPPSC released the preliminary results for Assistant Professor recruitment in Uttar Pradesh government colleges on uppsc.up.nic.in.
The preliminary exam (Government College Examination-2025) was conducted on May 31, 2026.
Results were announced for eight subjects: Commerce, Fine Arts, Hindi, Mathematics, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Zoology and Computer Science.
Commerce had the most vacancies (157) with 945 candidates qualifying, while Hindi had the highest registrations (16,098).
Candidates who cleared the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the Main examination.
