UP’s Gen Z push amid protests: Coaching on campuses, IAS-IPS mentors, Youth Commission · indianexpress.com

The leader of a big state in India called Uttar Pradesh made a big announcement on Independence Day, a national holiday.

He wants to help young people in his state learn new skills and find jobs.

His plan is called the Youth Policy, and it is meant for people between the ages of 16 and 35.

The plan includes coaching to help students get ready for important exams, like tests for government jobs and medical school.

Students would not have to travel far because coaching would come to their college campuses.

Newly joined officers and doctors might become mentors and give students advice about studying.

There may also be online coaching for students who cannot attend classes in person.

The leader made this announcement because many young people have been asking for more jobs and opportunities, sometimes through protests.

Around 90 different government programmes for young people may be brought together in one easy system.

Building the plan will take time, and many government departments and groups of young people will help with it.
