Foundation Stone Laid for New Nimmakuru Residential School Facilities
A residential school in Nimmakuru is getting new buildings.
The new facilities will include a boys’ dormitory, a dining hall and a kitchen.
The school’s older buildings were built in 1990-91 and are now in poor condition.
The State government approved Rs 6 crore for the work.
The school principal placed the foundation stone on Saturday.
Teachers and students attended the ceremony.
The Nimmakuru Old Students’ Association asked for help to improve the school.
The new buildings are expected to give students better places to live and eat.

The State government sanctioned Rs 6 crore for the facilities and issued a related GO on January 30 last year.
Principal Mandali Bramaneswaramma performed the ceremony in the presence of staff and students.
The school’s existing buildings and dormitories, built in 1990-91, have deteriorated considerably.
The project followed a representation by the Nimmakuru Old Students’ Association and intervention by Nara Bhuvaneswari and Nara Lokesh.
