Bluecolt Constable Seriously Injured In Knife Attack At Thorrur
A police constable went to Thorrur after a woman called for help during a couple's quarrel.
He arrived near the Gangothri Water Plant at about 11:20 p.m.
on Thursday.
Police say a youth named Koteshwar attacked him with a knife.
The youth allegedly also hit the constable with an iron rod.
The constable was badly hurt near his left arm.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Doctors closed the wound with six stitches and kept him under supervision.
Police reportedly took Koteshwar for questioning, but they are still trying to establish what happened.
