Delhi Police Arrest Rohit Chaudhary Gang Member Azam in Rajasthan
There was a man named Azam who did many bad things, like stealing and fighting.
He was part of a group of bad people called a gang, led by a man named Rohit Chaudhary.
The police wanted to catch him, but Azam ran away and hid for more than a year.
Police think he helped give illegal guns to other bad people.
The police finally found him in a place called Tapukara, in Rajasthan, on August 2.
Azam tried to get away by jumping from one rooftop to another near a hospital.
But the police chased him and caught him.
Now Azam is in police custody, and police say he has been in trouble with the law many times before.
Catching him makes the area safer.
Delhi Police Crime Branch arrested Azam (40), an alleged Rohit Chaudhary gang member, in Tapukara, Rajasthan on August 2.
Azam had been on the run since 2025 and was wanted in five criminal cases, including one in which he was declared a Proclaimed Offender.
Police say Azam has nearly 18 previous cases against him and is linked to more than a dozen crimes, including robbery, assault, theft and Arms Act offences.
Officials allege he supplied illegal firearms to gang members and local criminals while frequently shifting hideouts across Alwar, Tijara and Bhiwadi.
During interrogation, Azam allegedly said he joined the gang after meeting Rohit Chaudhary in jail following his 2017 carjacking arrest.
