Mumbai Cha Lambodar's Rare Three-Trunk Ganapati Idol Goes Viral

In Mumbai, people celebrate a big festival called Ganesh Chaturthi in honour of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed god.

During this festival, neighbourhood groups called mandals set up big decorated displays known as pandals.

This year, a mandal called Mumbai Cha Lambodar made an idol that has three trunks instead of one!

This special form is called Trishund Ganapati, and photos of it are going viral.

The three trunks remind people of three important Hindu gods: Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

They also stand for the past, the present and the future.

An artist named Aniket Shewale made the idol, which shows Ganesha standing on a stone with four arms.

One of his hands holds a lotus flower.

Last year, the same mandal made another surprising idol called Ardhanari Ganesha, which mixed boy and girl looks, and people loved it too.
