The Olympic Council of Asia said two India-Pakistan games were watched more than any other matches in Asian Games history.

One was the men’s cricket final, which India won by 19 runs.

The other was a men’s hockey semifinal, which India won 4-3.

India later won the hockey gold medal by beating Malaysia.

Officials did not share how many people watched either match.

The Games also faced complaints about crowded accommodation and transport problems.

OCA leaders said big sporting events always have challenges and defended the way the Games were organised.

They also said many records were broken and that the event did not leave costly, unused buildings behind.
