YSRCP Demands Mega DSC Discussion as Andhra Council Adjourns
YSRCP members wanted Andhra Pradesh’s Legislative Council to discuss possible problems in a teacher-recruitment process called Mega DSC-2025.
They were especially concerned about the sports quota.
The Council Chairman did not accept their request for an immediate discussion.
The members protested by standing near the Chairman’s podium, showing placards and shouting slogans.
They also wore black scarves, according to one report.
Opposition leader Botcha Satyanarayana said the issue deserved enough time for a detailed discussion.
Minister Payyavula Keshav said other public problems should be discussed first and the DSC issue could be considered later.
The Chairman then suggested that a committee decide how the issue should be handled and paused the meeting for 10 minutes.
Reports differ on whether this was the second day on Tuesday or the third day on Wednesday.
