Punjab Congress accuses Mann government of staging I-Day health stunt

On Independence Day, a big holiday in India, the state of Punjab held a celebration in a city called Ferozepur.

During the celebration, there was a special show about a health program that gives free medical care to people.

Some older people danced to a famous Punjabi song as part of the show.

The Congress party, which is not in power in Punjab, said the government made these older people dance to trick people.

They said the older people were pretending to be patients who got new knees, even though they never had surgery.

The Congress leader said this was a trick to make the government look good.

Another opposition leader said health workers were dressed up as fake patients.

The government's party, called AAP, said the criticism is unfair.

A leader from AAP said the Chief Minister cares a lot about the health of people in Punjab.

He told the critics to focus on their own parties instead.
