Maharashtra Road Agency Plans 6,000 Kilometres Of Expressways By 2047
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation builds large roads and bridges in Maharashtra.
It wants to develop about 6,000 kilometres of expressways and related infrastructure by 2047.
About 900 kilometres of projects are already being worked on.
Four more approved projects together cover 460 kilometres.
The completed Samruddhi Mahamarg is 701 kilometres long.
The Virar-Alibaug Multimodal Corridor will use a financing model involving a private builder operating the project.
MSRDC is also planning development around 16 Samruddhi Mahamarg interchanges.
The Versova-Bandra Sea Link is about 35% complete and is expected to be finished by 2028.
