Hariyali Teej 2026: Shubh Muhurat, Vrat Vidhi And Significance
Imagine a special day in August when many women in India celebrate the rainy season and show love for their families.
This day is called Hariyali Teej, which means 'green Teej'.

Women observe a day-long fast, some a nirjala fast without water, and worship Goddess Parvati for their husbands, conjugal bliss and a happy married life.
Also called Sindhara Teej, the festival is named after the sindhara gifts of sweets, ghewar, henna tubes and bangles given to daughters and daughters-in-law.
