Gajapati Youth Missing in Malaysia, MLA Seeks Urgent Help
Godani Rama Rao is a 24-year-old man from Gajapati district in India.
He went to Malaysia to find a job in March 2022.
His family last spoke with him on September 7, 2024.
They have not been able to contact him since then.
His family is worried because they do not know where he is.
Paralakhemundi MLA Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi has asked India’s External Affairs Minister for help.
The request seeks an inquiry through the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
Officials are being asked to try to find and trace Rama Rao.
Godani Rama Rao, 24, travelled from Gajapati district to Malaysia for employment on March 1, 2022.
His family says all communication with him stopped on September 7, 2024.
Rama Rao’s last call reportedly came from Malaysia through contact number 601176161796.
Repeated family efforts to locate him have failed, according to the report.
Paralakhemundi MLA Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi asked External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to seek help from Indian authorities in Malaysia.
