Welspun Living Q1 Profit Jumps 82%, Revenue Rises 24%
Welspun Living is a company that makes home textiles, like bedsheets and towels.
The company shared how much money it made in the first three months of its latest financial year.
It made a profit of Rs 162.6 crore in that time.
That is 82 percent more than the profit it made in the same three months last year.
The company also earned more revenue, which grew by about 24 percent.
Selling home textiles to other countries helped the business grow by 28.1 percent.
Its business inside its home country also grew by nearly 21.3 percent.
The company bought back some of its own shares for Rs 252 crore, which is a way of returning money to its owners.
Heavy rains and flooding have disrupted work at one of its factories in Vapi since July 23.
The company says its assets and materials there are adequately insured.
Welspun Living's consolidated net profit jumped 82 percent year-on-year to Rs 162.6 crore in Q1 FY27.
Revenue from operations rose 23.7 percent to Rs 2,795 crore, while total income stood at Rs 2,828 crore.
Home textile exports grew 28.1 percent YoY and the domestic business grew nearly 21.3 percent.
EBITDA was Rs 354 crore at a 12.5 percent margin, improving 170 basis points sequentially.
The company completed a Rs 252 crore buyback of 1.44 crore shares, while flooding since July 23 has disrupted its Vapi unit.
