Its government now wants the state to make more high-technology products.

These include electronics, semiconductors, electric vehicles, medical devices, defence equipment and aerospace products.

A new industrial policy offers businesses financial help and faster approvals.

The government says Punjab attracted about Rs 1.5 lakh crore in investment since 2022.

These investments could create more than 500,000 jobs.

New industrial facilities and research partnerships are planned to help companies grow.

The state also wants training programmes to prepare young people for modern manufacturing jobs.
