Maharashtra Plans 300-Acre SRPF Training Centre In Wardha
Maharashtra wants to build a large training centre for police recruits in Wardha.
The planned centre would cover about 300 acres.
It could house around 2,000 trainees.
Officials have been asked to prepare a detailed master plan.
The centre may have classrooms, sports areas, drill grounds and technology-based training facilities.
It would also include hostels, dining areas and a medical centre.
A museum and experience centre would explain the history of the State Reserve Police Force.
The project is called “Stone to Strength,” comparing police training with shaping stone into a strong finished form.
